The Inn on Lake Champlain offers several lovely, pastoral sites overlooking the lake for your unique, relaxing, and inexpensive ceremony. Use our house and majestic 440 acre farm for a get-away weekend with your most beloved family and friends.

Enjoy a three night (Monday-Wednesday) or four night (Thursday-Sunday) whole house rental with your dearest loved ones (sleeps 9 adults, 3 children), including a delicious fresh breakfast each morning of your stay - please see our accommodations page for information about rooms and other amenities. Our wedding package includes beautiful high resolution digital photography of your visit, groomed ceremony site with two rustic pews, hand-cut flower bouquets from our garden (where sufficient notice has been given for growing seasonal flowers), and afternoon tea (for up to 40 guests).

Cookies and beverages (coffee, tea, lemonade, and ice water) are served, for an elegant, zero-waste reception, using antique dinnerware (ship pattern), timeless glassware, and linen napkins (cream colored) on the wrap-around porch and lawn of the Inn.

You can have catered or otherwise serve additional beverages and snacks according to your own preference and/or we can help you make reservations at a local restaurant for a small dinner party. We are dedicated to help you create the elegant, sustainable or zero-waste, wedding (or vow renewal) of your dreams.

We have at least four ceremony sites which can be custom groomed for your event (please give as much notice as possible for the best possible preparations, we are a real farm and do not maintain a permanent ceremony site):

The Front Meadow- This small field is beautifully situated and conveniently located to the north of the house. It is the meadow which is most visible from our Lake View Suite.
It was kept as a lawn for many years and is still fairly smooth to walk across. It's permanently fenced in white hotcote and livestock can be relocated and the entire paddock mowed and groomed 5-10 days in advance of your event.

The Lakeside Meadow - This small , private meadow has a panoramic view of Lake Champlain while still convenient to the house. The access is along our rustic, shady trail to the waterfront. The trail opens up to a majestic plateau high above the lake with lovely views to behold from several locations.
It was neglected for years and is still quite rough (with small stumps and roots) but we have kept a ceremony site and walking trail well-cleared and mowed for two years. It's permanently fenced in white hotcote and livestock can be relocated and the entire paddock mowed and groomed 5-10 days in advance of your event.

The Pasture - This huge pasture has several nice, flat sites with views of Lake Champlain with our majestic old barn in the foreground. It is also convenient to the house with access from the wrap-around porch, past the vegetable garden, and through our equipment yard (where additional vehicles can be parked). A mown path and custom ceremony site can be created according to your specifications.
It's permanently fenced in white hotcote and livestock can be relocated and the trail and ceremony site cleaned, mowed, and groomed 5-10 days in advance of your event.

The Hay Meadows - This site overlooks our vast, grassy hay meadows with our historic barn, Lake Champlain, and the Green Mountains in the distance. It is quite a hike from the house and is ideal for bringing the wedding party up on a hayride. A mown path and custom ceremony site can be created according to your specifications.

Custom Organic Cakes - We have everything here for baking and decorating simple, delicious organic cakes. We'll use the freshest ingredients and decorate the cake to your specifications. Starting at $10.°°/guest.

Organic Cheese Platters and/or Tastings - a selection of cheeses served with apple and pear slices, grapes, crackers or bread on marble slabs - $10.°°/person.

Custom Spa Day - A relaxing morning or afternoon on the porch or on the cliff over-looking the horse pasture where you and your guests can unwind, catch-up, and prep for the big day. Base rate includes set-up and fresh, hot well-water provided as-needed, galvanized and grannyware basins for soaking, salts, scrubs, lotions, comfortable seating, beverages, and snacks. $40.°°/participant. We can also help you to hire a licensed massage therapist for the day (additional charge).

Equestrian Experience and Photo Sessions - treat your wedding party to an invigorating and memorable riding experience. $50.°°/participant.

Wedding Horses - Each horse will be immaculately groomed and decorated to suit your specifications. Includes training session(s) to acclimate you to handling horse(s) - $500.°°/each

Antique Tractor & Wagon Ride - antique tractor, hay wagon, and driver to transport you and your guests to your ceremony site or up to the upper meadows to watch the sunset, enjoy a campfire, and gaze at the night sky - $200.°°

Guided Hike - an invigorating guided hike for you and your guests to the top of our mountain to see one of the most spectacular views in the region. - $60.°° We'll even pack a (zero-waste) picnic for you and your guests (add $12.°° per person).
